Manage Abatements

• CarbonView allows users to model abatement (or carbon reduction) projects and compare them from a financial and emissions reduction perspective.
• This helps companies choose the right project to implement.
• Once a project has been implemented, the application helps users track project performance against stated project objectives.
• Administrative users have the ability to setup and track abatement projects for different parts of the organization.
• Customised reports allow users to compare projects and view details of specific projects.

Steps:

1. Navigate to Admin menu > Reduction Strategies > Manage Abatements

2. Click on the “Create Abatement” button

3. Complete the following fields:

a. Project ID - enter a unique combination of letters and numbers to identify the abatement project added. The Project ID is only created once and cannot be changed.

b. Project Name - enter a name to identify the abatement project.

c. Project Type - enter the abatement project type.

d. Project Status - enter the status of the abatement project.

e. Description - enter a brief description or additional information about the abatement project.

f. Enabled - Indicates if the abatement project is active. Defaults to active.

g. Entity - enter an entity associated with the abatement project. Click on the View icon to select from all the entities set-up for the organization.

h. Start Date - enter a date or use the Calendar icon to select the date.

i. Duration - enter the length of time in months.

j. Scenario - enter a scenario associated with the project.

k. Currency - select currency from the list.

l. Yearly Net Income - enter the yearly net income amount.

m. Established Cost - enter the established cost.

n. Yearly Cost - enter the yearly cost.

o. Discount Rate - enter the discount rate value.

p. Yearly Emission Reduction - enter the yearly emission reduction.

q. Business Measure - enter a business measure associated with the abatement project. Click on the View icon to select from all the business measures set-up for the organization.

r. Baseline Period - enter a date or use the Calendar icon to select the date. The system will only display data that covers a full quarter in the Target Tracking - Business Measure and Target Tracking - Indicator Emission graphs in the Abatement Project Details report.

s. Yearly Business Measure Reduction - enter the yearly business measure reduction.

4. Select one from two options:

t. Click the Save button to save the abatement project's information. The newly created abatement project is added in the Abatement Project List.

u. Click the Cancel button to abort the abatement project creation process and return to the Manage Abatement Projects page.
