====== Manage Business Measures ======

===== Overview =====

  * Business Measures in CarbonView are used to represent characteristics of an entity which can be used to normalise consumption and emission data by. (e.g. Distance Traveled (KM), Units Produced, Building Area, Revenue)
  * This is particularly useful to compare entities against each other. 
  * Business Measures are setup in CarbonView's Business Measures register and assigned to Entities in the Manage Entity section.
  * Admin users create and manage business measures.

===== Adding & Updating Assets =====

Admin users navigate to Admin menu > Setup > Manage Business Measures

To create a new business measure:

1. Click on the “Create Business Measure” button in the top right corner.

2. Complete the Add Business Measure form with the following information (mandatory fields are required only)

a. *Business Measure ID - unique combination of letters and numbers to identify the business measure added. Note: The Business Measure ID is only created once and cannot be changed.

b. *Business Measure Name - name given to identify the Business Measure.

c. Description - a brief description or additional information about the Business Measure.

3. Select from the following options:

a. Click the Save button to save the business measure's information. The newly created business measure is added in the Business Measure List displayed on screen.

b. Click the Cancel button to abort the business measure creation process and return to the Manage Business Measures page.

===== Assigning Business Measures to Entities =====

  * Once a Business Measures has been created in the Manage Business Measures section, it is now available to be assigned to an Entity.
  * Assigning a Business Measure to an Entity is completed in the Manage Entity section.
